Our School Motto

OUR SCHOOL MOTTO

Every institution has its own motto to give it a special identity. This motto is inscribed within the emblem which is special to a school, and institution or an organization. A student studying at St. Mary’s School must know his/her motto, the meaning of the school emblem and be worthy of it. Inscribed within the shield are the words

“BURN ON TILL YOU BURN OUT”.

What makes a girl/boy great is her/his hard work and determination. Student of St.Mary’s School has to work at becoming successful all through his/her life. She/He must remember this important work of becoming good and noble through the practice of perseverance. He or She must be kind, gentle, respectful, helpful, cheerful, hard working and enthusiastic at all times. This is what makes her/him different from others.

Lamp on the water is the main theme of the emblem. Round symbolizes the world and the water symbolizes the deep ocean of knowledge. Lotus symbolizes, purity, beauty, majesty and grace. The wick symbolizes human person and the light is divine, symbol of enlightenment and knowledge. Light dispels darkness.

A student of St.Mary & rsquo;s carry a flame of love, wisdom, determination and perseverance in his/her life in all situations. This light of life burns on firmly and sheds its light in the world dispelling darkness and ignorance from the world. Tilled with knowledge students of St. Mary & rsquo;s move majestically and successfully spreading joy and happiness with everyone as the rays of light.
